I rang that ancient bell
… and I’ll tell you all about it when I get home as this is my last morning in Manchester.

Love the photos of library on your French blog and your photos of Chester are fabulous! Your mother’s yiddish saying made me think of the things that still are in my mind from my mother. Today it is early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. My daughter is up early today.
Have a wonderful trip.

Gorgeous door and photo and I’m anxious to hear the story behind it when you arrive home.
Safe journey!

I can’t imagine that this door is the door to a modern library. I think this must be the door to an old dusty library that has no computers or books on tape, just ancient card catalogues and wizzened librarians who shush you all the time.

What a beautiful door. There has to be something wonderful on the other side.

[...] I felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland but I did put the sticker on my t’shirt, headed for the other side of the parking lot, did pass a gate and rang the bell. [...]
