Last rose…

T   is the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone ;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone ;
No flower of her kindred,
No rose-bud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh. (…)

I took this photo this morning in Bénerville, Normandy, where I am staying for a few days. The weather has been incredibly mild for the season and there are still blooming roses.

  1. Here is a quotation for you about roses. “Won’t you come into my garden? I would like my roses to see you.” Richard Brinsley Sheridan I really enjoy your photos. Bravo to you for seeking new ways to see the world.
