quote.gifhis case
open to the air
cicarette burning
in his right hand
playing the changes
as he sees it
for coffee change
ambient melodies
struck from
the book of life
in a sentimental mood
blown in the classic style
laid down to the rhythm
of the traffic and clinking coins
nodding his head
in internal meter
he could have been a carpenter
but why quit his day job

Thank you, BIRD for writing this poem on a photo which I took in Crest, Drôme, France, a few days ago. I asked the saxplayer permission to take a photo and he even did me the favour of a smile.
As I didn’t have a photo of BIRD, I stole his flickr buddy icon.
