Saturday Photo Hunt: colourful

This week’s theme is just what I needed. Last week, I visited the colourful French village small town of Collioure, so colourful that it has attracted artists like Braque, Derain, Picasso, Matisse or Foujita.

  1. I wish I was advebturesome enough to paint my house in a bright color. Of course, it is more effective by the sea, I think. Love the photos, especially the one through the wall.

  2. Your photos are lovely. It must have been a joy living there or just simply going there!

Mine is up too. Have a great week ahead! 🙂

  3. Leave it to you to come up with the prettiest photos of the day! Just gorgeous. Those colors are stunning and THAT is true color. Well done, Claude. Really enjoyed it.
(And as you’ll see next Sat. “I” can’t draw either…but I’m having fun trying and that’s what counts)

  4. Je pense que Collioure se prend plus pour une ville que pour un village…Ă  vĂ©rifier ! Couleurs Ă©tonnantes !!!

  5. I, too, love the architecture of Europe. Van Gogh’s exhibit at the Neue Gallery in NYC is fabulous.

There is something about the light in that part of France — it is the same in Santa Fe and New Mexico in general. It attracted Georgia O’Keeffe and other artists just as France’s light did…
