Wednesday Window: au jardin des Tuileries

I enjoyed taking the photo but you wouldn’t make me go on either of these. Too scary!
If you want some of the atmosphere, I also took a video.

I took this photo last August while crossing Jardin des Tuileries, the garden that goes from Place de la Concorde to the Louvre.
On the left, rue de Rivoli and at the back Le Louvre. This is a walk a particularly enjoy, as it’s a good way of going from the Left Bank of the Seine to the Right Bank, or vice-versa.

  1. @ kenju, it’s not there all year long. The Ferris wheel is there every year at Christmas time but not situated at the same place. And the other attractions are there occasionally.

  2. A friend of mine persuaded me to go on the Ferris wheel: it stopped part of the way round, and the seat-pod creaked on its mountings as it swung in the stiffening breeze…….

  3. The Ferris wheel for some reason is scarier than the other — I got stuck on one once also and have not forgotten how eerie it felt.
